Expect Moore…a note from our president

Your PTA is constantly working to provide memorable experiences for our students, their families and our Dodd staff. As with everything in life, you get out of it what you put in to it and more. We are in the beginning stages of planning for next years PTA board. If you are interested in getting actively involved in the PTA, we would love for you to join our AWESOME team. Let’s recap what we have accomplished together this year: Welcome Back to School spaghetti dinner and raffle; our first fall carnival; The NED Show (Never give up, Encourage others, Do your best); Todd McKinney program for Red Ribbon Week; staff members of the month; Reflections contest; “Strangers and dangerous situations” program; Green Team paper recycling contest; Dodd directory for PTA members; Watch D.O.G.S.; and the Peppermint Village Santa Shop.

This is what is to come this semester: Sock Hop Dance; movie and popcorn night; 2 programs (character ed, science fun and/or cultural arts); staff members of the month; teacher appreciation week; Earth Day celebration; Green Team paper recycling contest; all color yearbook; new Dodd t-shirts for ’09-’10; Watch D.O.G.S.; 4th grade graduation party; and field day.

Save the dates:

• January 27th - Dodd dinner night at Chiloso Mexican Bistro 5-9pm
• March 27th - very 1st mother/son, father/daughter Sock Hop
• February 13th – class Valentine’s parties
• May 15th – Field Day
