Expect Moore…a note from our president

What fun the carnival was!!! Many of you were able to join us with your family for a night full of fun and excitement. Thanks to all of you that volunteered to help, it wouldn’t have been successful without you.

The holiday season is upon us. I hope all of you had a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Before we know it, Christmas will be here & gone again. Whatever you are planning for this holiday season, please enjoy these times with your family and friends.
We will be having a holiday gift shop (Peppermint Village) in the library December 8-12. This opportunity is available for the students to come and shop for their parents, grandparents and/or siblings. The holiday season is about the spirit of giving and this allows the students to think about giving rather than receiving. More information will be sent home w/ students the 1st week in December.

Until Next Year,
Allison Moore

A Word of Thanks

A Word of Thanks … just isn’t enough! I was able to put out the PTA directory very quickly and with very little expense this year. My helpers were Diane & David Elderbroom and Michelle & Henry Math. I hope everyone likes the directory and finds it useful during this school year.

Staff Appreciation

The Staff Member for the month of November was our librarian, Rhonda Henderson! Thank you Mrs. Henderson for all you do to make reading fun for the students at Dodd. We are taking a break for the month of December, but will start the voting for January on January 5th. Any questions please contact Leslie Simms, simms.leslie@gmail.com.

Don't forget to look on www.supportyourteacher.org to get ideas for birthday and/or Christmas gifts for the teachers.

Winter Class Parties

The room parents are already working hard to plan the winter parties for the classrooms. Please respond quickly to any letters they send home as your support is vital for the success of these parties. The kids have such a wonderful time getting to celebrate together before the break and without your help, it is really difficult to pull it all together. A special thank you to all the parents who gave supplies and/or their time for the fall parties! We couldn't do it without
you!
